Affidavits for general purpose are most often used as sworn statement, executed on the e stamp paper by choosing the appropriate value and signed and notarized. The e stamp paper is available in denominations such as 20, 50, 100 and so on. This affidavit will serve as identification of the person who has signed this document but also his/her signature, location (current address), because many times he/she may not have be able to produce address proof of their current location due to recent shifting / relocation from other state or within the same city as the case maybe and lastly his/her testimony (statement of the facts) so this becomes a legal document in serving his/her purpose when executed on the e stamp paper.
